2009 Community Fire Safety Program

To: Valley Center, Meadows, Circle R and Jesmond Dene Residents:

As a result of many calls we have received on the SDG&E Fire Safety Emergency Power Shut Off (EPSO) Program, we have posted this link to an interactive map hosted by SDG&E. By inputting your street address, the interactive map will tell you if you are in or not in the current EPSO area.

As you may or may not be aware, Valley Center Water District along with five other public water agencies serving the north and east county rural communities have opposed the SDG&E EPSO. Our opposition is based upon EPSO’s general impact on our customers and communities and its specific negative impact on our ability to sustain water service at a time when it is most needed: when citizens and fire fighters need water to protect lives, homes and property.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you should have questions about the SDG&E EPSO and Valley Center Water District’s response to this ill conceived and potentially devastating proposal.

Please click this link for a map and more information about the 2009 SDG&E Fire Safety Program:
