Special Agricultural Water Rate (SAWR) Customers

July 2010

Dear Valley Center Water SAWR Customer,

Below normal water supply conditions and environmental pumping restrictions on the State Water Project, one of our two major sources of water, will result in a 13% reduction in supplies available to Valley Center Water District from our wholesale suppliers for our Special Agricultural Water Rate (SAWR) customers, starting in July 2009 and continuing until at least through your meter reading in June 2011.

In response, on May 4, 2009, our Board of Directors voted to approve the SAWR Implementation Reduction Plan effective July 1, 2009. As a result of this action, District SAWR customers will be asked to comply with:

►SAWR Water Supply Reduction Plan, July 2010; and

►Month by Month Water Allocations for your account.

Please take the time to carefully review all of the attached information.  If you should have any questions about the contents, please feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience.  Finally, please take advantage of the wide range of conservation information linked to our web-site, www.valleycenterwater.org.

Thank you,

Valley Center Water District
