Interim Agricultural Water Program (IAWP) Customers

May 2009

Dear Valley Center Municipal Water District  IAWP Customer;

On April 14, 2009, the MWD Board of Directors took action to implement a Level 2 reduction in water supplies to their member agencies. As a result of this action, supplies to the SDCWA will be reduced by 13%.

At 13%, reductions to the Interim Agricultural Water Program (IAWP) will be held at the current 30% level and the current account allocations and program rules will remain unchanged.

As a reminder:

►Near the end of 2009, all IAWP participants will once again be provided the opportunity to opt out of the IAWP and go into the SDCWA Special Agricultural Water Rate (SAWR) program, or become a Full Price account;

►As of January 1, 2010, the required level of reduction will be 25%,

►The combined discount (IAWP & SAWR) for IAWP participants will reduce from $251.52 to $218.62; and

►Relative reduction levels and discounts will continue to be lowered until the IAWP sunsets as of December 31, 2012

If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience.

Thank you,
